August Homeowner Maintenance Check-List

The first day of school is around the corner!
Before you start planning your epic end-of-summer bash, take a weekend and prep your home for the changing of the seasons.

If you’re looking for a few specific things to do to prepare for school days and the changing of seasons, here are 9 tasks perfect to knock off your to-do list this time of year:

?Deep clean rugs and carpets. The warm weather will help them dry quicker.

?Clean and organize your home’s “drop zone.” Back-to-school is just weeks away!

?Clean and store summer gear like sports equipment, beach chairs, and camping supplies.

?Clean out that pantry.  Throw away stale or uneaten foods and get ready to re-stock for school lunches and fall dinners.

?Organize closets. Donate clothing that doesn’t fit or items you no longer need/want.

?Clear out those junk drawers. We always find half used pencils and perfectly good pens and broken colored pencils that have plenty of life to send to school with your kids.

?Remove and clean shower heads. Vinegar works great!

?Clean and organize your garage to prepare for you to park your car in when the weather
goes from ??—>??.

?Scrub the microwave and deep clean your oven. Fall means baking and home cooked meals. Let’s start off with clean appliance interiors!
